Description

As is, this functionality has only been tested on Windows X86. More work needs to be done to test this against Linux X86, X86_64, Windows x64, etc. Areas where it doesn't work should be implemented in order to close this ticket.

x86 linux, x64 linux, x86 windows, x64 windows should all work. closing this ticket. we can open other tickets if we need additional operating system support.
